Kandooma Maldives completes new undercover dining area as resort refresh continues
Kandooma Maldives has completed a new undercover dining area at Kandooma Café and the Bokkuraa Pool Deck, as part of an ongoing resort-wide refresh programme that also includes upgrades to family accommodation.
The new dining space has been designed to provide guests with a more comfortable all-weather dining environment, offering protection from both the midday sun and tropical rain showers. For food and beverage operations, the addition expands the flexibility of outdoor dining while ensuring uninterrupted service throughout changing weather conditions.
The enhancement forms part of a broader refurbishment initiative currently taking place across the resort. Alongside the upgraded dining facilities, Kandooma Maldives is progressing with phased villa improvements aimed at enhancing the guest experience while minimising disruption to resort operations.
Among the key accommodation upgrades are the introduction of new swimming pools for family villas, adding another dimension to the resort’s family-focused offering. Contemporary bunk beds have also been installed to better accommodate families travelling with children, reflecting changing guest preferences and the growing demand for multi-generational travel experiences.
From a hospitality perspective, the completion of the new covered dining area demonstrates the importance of versatile dining infrastructure within resort operations. Outdoor dining remains a key component of the Maldives tourism experience, but weather-resilient spaces allow culinary teams to maintain service standards while maximising guest comfort.
