Cora Cora Maldives brings festive banquets and beachside dining to ‘The Enchanted Tide’
Cora Cora Maldives will bring together festive banquets, beachside dining and family culinary activities as part of its Christmas and New Year celebrations, running from 19 December 2026 to 7 January 2027.
Presented under the theme “The Enchanted Tide: A Festive Journey to Ocean Magic”, the programme draws inspiration from the mythical underwater kingdom of Atlantis, combining ocean-themed dining with entertainment, cultural experiences and island activities.
For chefs and food and beverage professionals, the festive calendar will feature Christmas Eve and New Year dining celebrations, alongside opportunities for younger guests to participate in festive treat decorating.
Christmas Eve banquet inspired by Atlantis
One of the principal culinary highlights will be the Pearl Palace Christmas Eve Banquet, an ocean-inspired dining celebration accompanied by live music and entertainment.
The banquet will form part of the resort’s Christmas programme, bringing guests together for an evening of festive food and celebrations inspired by the underwater kingdom theme.
For Cora Cora Maldives’ culinary and food and beverage teams, the event will provide an opportunity to incorporate the festive concept into the dining experience, with food presentation, service and the surrounding atmosphere contributing to the overall celebration.
The Christmas programme will begin with The First Spark of Atlantis, a Christmas tree lighting ceremony, followed by Santa’s arrival on Christmas Day.
New Year dining and sunset celebrations
As the year draws to a close, guests will gather for The Sapphire Sundown, a sunset celebration preceding the resort’s main New Year’s Eve event.
The evening will continue with The Great Atlantis Countdown, featuring festive dining, live entertainment, music and fireworks to welcome 2027.
For the resort’s kitchen and beverage teams, New Year’s Eve will be one of the principal service occasions of the festive calendar, requiring coordination between dining, drinks service and the evening’s entertainment programme.
Celebrations will continue beyond midnight with the Sunken Kingdom After Party, extending the festive atmosphere into the early hours of New Year’s Day.
Throughout the season, beachside feasts and poolside gatherings will also contribute to the resort’s food and beverage programme.
Festive treat decorating for younger guests
The resort’s culinary and pastry teams will also have opportunities to engage with younger guests through festive treat decorating at CoRa Kids Club.
The activity forms part of Mermaids of the Bikini Bottom, a children’s programme inspired by underwater adventures and characters from SpongeBob SquarePants.
For pastry professionals, treat decorating provides a way to introduce children to food presentation and creativity through hands-on activities.
The wider children’s programme will include ocean-inspired crafts, treasure hunts, beach games and themed entertainment.
Beyond dining, Cora Cora Maldives will offer wellness experiences at MOKSHA Spa & Wellbeing Centre, recreational activities, pool events and evening entertainment throughout the festive period.
Running until 7 January, The Enchanted Tide will bring together culinary celebrations and island experiences under a shared ocean-inspired theme.
From the Pearl Palace Christmas Eve Banquet to New Year’s Eve dining and festive treat decorating, food and beverage will form part of Cora Cora Maldives’ celebrations, providing opportunities for its culinary, pastry and service teams to contribute to the resort’s Christmas and New Year programme.
