Kuredhivaru Resort turns eight: Gala dinner, Secret Garden dining and castaway picnic
Kuredhivaru Resort & Spa will celebrate its eighth anniversary this November with a programme featuring gala dining, private culinary experiences and destination dining, culminating in an anniversary celebration on 7 November 2026.
Located in Noonu Atoll, the resort will mark the milestone with a month of activities under the concept “Eight Experiences for Eight Years”, bringing together gastronomy, wellness, ocean adventures and recreation.
For chefs and food and beverage professionals, the anniversary programme will include a gala dinner at Onu Marche, private dining in the resort’s Secret Garden and a castaway picnic on a nearby private island.

Anniversary gala at Onu Marche
The main celebration on 7 November will begin with cocktails at Bodumas Beach before guests gather for an anniversary dinner at Onu Marche.
The evening will feature live music, DJ performances, an address by the General Manager and the traditional cutting of the anniversary cake.
For the resort’s culinary, pastry and beverage teams, the celebration will bring together several elements of festive service, from beachfront cocktails and dinner preparation to cake presentation and coordination with the entertainment programme.
The anniversary cake will provide an opportunity for the pastry team to contribute to the milestone, while the dinner will serve as the main culinary occasion marking eight years of resort operations.

Private dining and castaway culinary experiences
Beyond the gala, Kuredhivaru will offer curated dining experiences throughout November as part of its Eight Experiences for Eight Years programme.
One of the highlights will be private dining in the resort’s Secret Garden, offering guests a more intimate setting for a personalised meal.
Such experiences place emphasis on coordination between the kitchen and service teams, particularly around menu preparation, timing and presentation.
The programme will also feature a castaway picnic on a nearby private island, bringing food and beverage service beyond the resort’s main dining venues.
For culinary teams, destination picnics require careful planning around menu selection, transportation, temperature control and presentation. Dishes need to be prepared and packed to maintain quality when served away from a permanent kitchen.
These experiences reflect the role of destination dining in Maldives resort gastronomy, where the setting becomes an important part of the overall meal.

Culinary experiences mark eight years
The anniversary programme will also include Cinema Under the Stars, multi-day spa experiences, water sports, diving and recreational activities for guests and families.
The activities are intended to celebrate the experiences and relationships developed throughout Kuredhivaru’s eight years of operation.
For the resort’s culinary and food and beverage teams, the anniversary provides an opportunity to showcase dining beyond conventional restaurant service, combining celebratory occasions with private experiences around the island.
From cocktails on Bodumas Beach and gala dining at Onu Marche to Secret Garden dinners and castaway picnics, gastronomy will form part of Kuredhivaru Resort & Spa’s eighth anniversary celebrations throughout November.
