Eight-course dining, seafood feasts headline Christmas at Heritance Aarah
Heritance Aarah has unveiled its Christmas programme under the theme ‘Unwrap Incredible’, with a series of dining and beverage experiences ranging from an eight-course set dinner and gala dining to seafood events, a Champagne brunch, street food and interactive tastings.
For chefs and food and beverage professionals, the programme demonstrates the scale of festive culinary operations within a Maldives resort, with multiple restaurant concepts, destination dining experiences and beverage activations running alongside the wider Christmas and New Year celebrations.
Christmas Eve will be one of the main culinary dates on the calendar, beginning with pre-dinner cocktails before guests move across the resort’s restaurants for different dining experiences.
Ranba and Ralu will host Christmas Eve gala dinners, while Baani will offer an exclusive eight-course set dinner. The different formats allow the resort’s culinary teams to approach the occasion through both large-scale festive dining and a more structured multi-course experience.
The evening will continue with entertainment and a midnight celebration featuring a DJ, live band and Santa’s arrival.
On Christmas Day, the culinary programme moves into Brunch & Bliss, a Champagne brunch designed to extend from morning into the afternoon. The format combines festive dining with a more relaxed island setting, reflecting the growing prominence of extended brunch concepts within resort food and beverage programmes.
Seafood also features prominently during the season. Lobster Feast by the Sea and Seaside Sizzle will bring dining to the beachfront, with seafood served against the evening setting of the island. Such destination dining concepts require culinary and service teams to translate restaurant standards into outdoor environments while coordinating preparation, temperature, timing and presentation.
Beyond the principal Christmas meals, Heritance Aarah will offer a broader programme of culinary discovery. Sweet Flavours of Aarah will feature interactive tasting stations, while guests can explore tea-inspired creations and take part in cocktail and tiki workshops.
The beverage programme will extend to rum and wine tastings, providing opportunities for guests to explore different drinks and pairing possibilities. A global street food festival at Ranba Beach will add another format to the programme, bringing together flavours and preparations associated with different international food cultures.
The range of experiences illustrates how festive programming can require culinary teams to operate across contrasting service styles within a relatively short period — from eight-course fine dining and gala buffets to brunches, live stations, tastings, workshops and beachfront service.
New Year’s Eve will culminate in Midnight Mirage, bringing dining and celebrations together as the resort prepares to welcome 2027.
The wider ‘Unwrap Incredible’ programme also incorporates Maldivian culture, watersports, family activities and wellness. At the Maldivian Village, guests will have opportunities to learn about island traditions, crafts and stories, adding a local cultural component to a festive calendar that otherwise draws on international dining and entertainment.
For the Maldives culinary sector, Heritance Aarah’s programme demonstrates the increasingly diverse role played by resort food and beverage teams during the festive period.
