Three Michelin-starred Chef Jérôme Banctel to headline Escapade Gourmande in the Maldives
Constance Hotels & Resorts will host Escapade Gourmande from 17 to 22 August across Constance Moofushi and Constance Halaveli, featuring three-Michelin-starred chef Jérôme Banctel, South African winemaker Donovan Rall and Italian pastry chef Cesare Murzilli. The programme includes wine-pairing dinners, pastry experiences, tastings and sommelier masterclasses, highlighting collaboration between chefs, pastry professionals and wine experts.

Atmosphere Foundation supports MNU with professional kitchen equipment
Atmosphere Foundation has donated industrial kitchen equipment to The Maldives National University (MNU) to strengthen practical training for Culinary Arts and Hospitality Management students. The equipment, now installed and operational, will provide industry-standard learning opportunities and support workforce readiness. MNU said the donation will enhance hands-on education, while the partnership also includes measures to ensure the equipment is properly maintained and used for teaching.

Chef Harinath Govindaraj launches debut vegan cookbook celebrating 20 years at Gili Lankanfushi
Gili Lankanfushi Maldives has launched Plant to Plate: Vegan Recipes from Gili Lankanfushi Maldives, the debut cookbook by Executive Chef Harinath Govindaraj, marking his 20th year at the resort. Featuring more than 60 plant-based recipes, the book showcases sustainable, wellness-led cooking inspired by seasonal ingredients and South Indian heritage. Twenty-five per cent of profits will be donated to the Cancer Society of Maldives.
