Niva Dhigali unveils festive season dining programme for December 2026

Niva Dhigali has announced its festive programme for December 2026, featuring a series of culinary experiences, wellness-inspired beverages and celebratory dining events designed to mark the Christmas and New Year holiday period.

For chefs and hospitality professionals, the programme highlights the continued importance of seasonal dining concepts, themed events and curated food and beverage experiences in enhancing the festive guest journey within Maldives resorts.

The celebrations will begin on 21 December with a Tree Lighting Ceremony on the beach, followed by the Starlight Beach Dinner, one of the resort’s signature festive dining experiences. Set beneath the night sky, the event will provide guests with a specially curated menu in a beachfront setting, reflecting the growing demand for destination dining experiences during the holiday season.

As the festivities continue towards Christmas Day, the resort will host a variety of family-oriented activities alongside its culinary offerings, creating a programme designed to appeal to guests across different age groups.

A notable feature of this year’s festive season is the introduction of daily Festive Elixirs, a collection of wellness-focused beverages crafted to complement the holiday experience. The drinks have been designed to provide refreshing alternatives while incorporating ingredients intended to support wellbeing during the festive period.

For food and beverage professionals, the inclusion of wellness-inspired drinks reflects a broader industry trend towards health-conscious beverage programmes and low- or no-alcohol alternatives within luxury hospitality.

The festive season will culminate in a New Year’s Eve celebration themed “Where Freedom Celebrates”, combining gala dining with entertainment and live performances.

The evening will begin with a gala dinner before transitioning into a beachfront celebration featuring Hungarian celebrity DJ Liliana Reagan. The programme will also include a fire ritual performance and a midnight fireworks display.

The combination of formal dining experiences, wellness beverages and large-scale entertainment reflects the increasingly diverse role of food and beverage operations during festive periods, where culinary offerings are integrated into broader guest experiences and celebrations.
