Sirru Fen Fushi links marine conservation and dining in Ocean Harmony programme
Sirru Fen Fushi – Private Lagoon Resort has unveiled Ocean Harmony, its Summer 2026 programme that combines marine conservation, wellness and destination dining experiences, reflecting the growing connection between sustainability and hospitality in the Maldives.
For chefs and hospitality professionals, the programme highlights how environmental stewardship is increasingly influencing guest experiences, culinary storytelling and resort operations across the industry.
Running throughout the summer season, Ocean Harmony is built around the resort’s ongoing conservation initiatives and the natural ecosystem surrounding the island. The programme follows recent sightings of olive ridley, hawksbill and green sea turtles in the resort’s waters, alongside successful turtle nest hatchings, coral restoration efforts and ghost net rescue projects.
A key component of the programme is Wild Luxury Week, taking place from 1 to 8 June. The initiative coincides with several international environmental observances, including World Reef Awareness Day, World Environment Day and World Oceans Day, offering guests opportunities to engage with sustainability-focused activities.
Guests will be invited to participate in coral planting, turtle research experiences, Coralarium discovery tours and shark snorkelling excursions, providing insight into the marine ecosystems that support life throughout the Maldives.
For food and beverage professionals, Ocean Harmony also incorporates a series of destination dining experiences designed around the concept of connection and shared experiences. While specific menus have not been disclosed, the resort said guests will enjoy elevated culinary experiences in unique island settings, celebrating the simplicity of dining under open skies and the natural surroundings of the Maldives.
The integration of dining experiences within wider sustainability and conservation programmes reflects an emerging trend across luxury resorts, where food and beverage offerings are increasingly linked to environmental awareness, local ecosystems and meaningful travel experiences.
The programme also includes family-oriented activities ranging from sustainability workshops and lagoon exploration to art sessions, beach adventures and outdoor cinema experiences, creating opportunities for guests to engage with nature in different ways.
Alongside conservation and culinary experiences, wellness remains a central theme of the programme. Guests can participate in sunrise and sunset yoga sessions, guided wellness activities, archery and the resort’s Sirry Fit Run programme.
In a statement, the resort said Ocean Harmony reflects its ongoing commitment to marine conservation and environmental responsibility.
“From coral restoration to marine life protection and immersive guest experiences, our focus remains on creating meaningful connections between people and nature,” the resort’s management said.
As sustainability continues to influence hospitality operations globally, programmes such as Ocean Harmony demonstrate how resorts are combining conservation initiatives, guest education and dining experiences to create more purposeful travel experiences.
