Cocoon Maldives to celebrate Eid with Maldivian cultural and island dining experiences
Cocoon Maldives has announced a festive Eid Al-Adha celebration programme centred on Maldivian culture, island traditions and beachfront hospitality, offering guests an immersive introduction to local heritage through performances, refreshments and communal festivities.
For hospitality and culinary professionals, the programme reflects the increasing role of culturally inspired guest experiences in the Maldives resort sector, where food, beverages and entertainment are increasingly combined to showcase local identity.
The resort’s Eid celebrations will feature a series of traditional performances and interactive activities designed to highlight authentic Maldivian customs. Among the key highlights are the Bodumas and Maali Parade, inspired by local folklore and island celebrations, alongside traditional dance performances presented by the resort’s team members.
Guests will also experience a traditional Coconut Show, the energetic Bodumas Chase performance and live DJ entertainment, creating a festive beachfront atmosphere throughout the celebration period.
From a food and beverage perspective, the programme will include island-inspired refreshments and mocktails served during the festivities, aligning with the communal and celebratory nature of Eid gatherings. The use of tropical refreshments and open-air beachfront service continues to play a central role in resort-led festive programming across the Maldives.
The celebrations will continue into the second day with interactive activities and friendly games involving both guests and resort team members, encouraging participation and cultural exchange in a relaxed island setting.
Ahmed Jihad, Chief Operating Officer of The Cocoon Collection, said the resort aims to create meaningful guest experiences rooted in Maldivian culture and hospitality.
“At Cocoon Maldives, we are delighted to celebrate Eid Al-Adha by sharing the beauty of Maldivian traditions and creating meaningful experiences for our guests,” he said.
“Through cultural performances, island festivities, and shared moments of joy, we aim to offer an authentic and memorable celebration in paradise.”
Known as the first design resort in the Maldives, Cocoon Maldives continues to position cultural immersion and experiential hospitality as part of its guest offering, blending island luxury with locally inspired celebrations and community-focused experiences.
