JW Marriott Maldives Resort & Spa unveils Eid dining experiences at Aailaa
JW Marriott Maldives Resort & Spa has introduced a curated Eid al-Adha culinary programme centred on traditional flavours, family dining and farm-to-table experiences as part of its wider Family Fun Summer offering in Shaviyani Atoll.
For chefs and culinary professionals, the resort’s Eid celebrations highlight the continued importance of heritage-inspired cuisine and experiential dining within luxury hospitality in the Maldives.
The main culinary focus will take place at Aailaa, the resort’s all-day dining venue, where a dedicated Eid dining experience will be presented throughout the celebration period. The restaurant will feature a special Eid breakfast corner serving traditional morning delicacies alongside a festive menu built around Middle Eastern and South Asian-inspired flavours.
Among the featured dishes are Chargrilled Lamb Chops and Beef Kofta Kebab, reflecting the communal and celebratory dining traditions associated with Eid al-Adha.
The signature dish of the occasion will be the ROYAL PRELUDE – Slow-Cooked Lamb Paya Shorba, described by the resort as a traditional aromatic broth simmered overnight and infused with Kashmiri saffron, herbs and finished with crispy onion garnish.
The dish highlights the growing presence of slow-cooking techniques, regional influences and heritage recipes within resort dining concepts across the Maldives, particularly during seasonal and religious celebrations.
Beyond the restaurant experience, the resort is also placing emphasis on culinary engagement for families through activities at the JW Garden, where guests can participate in culinary classes linked to farm-to-table concepts. The experience allows families to engage with ingredients and sustainable food practices while learning more about the preparation process.
The culinary programme forms part of the resort’s broader Eid and Family Fun Summer experiences aimed at multi-generational travellers. Families staying at the resort will also have access to accommodation options designed for larger groups, including Overwater Duplex Villas and Two-Bedroom Duplex Beach Villas with Pool.
Additional family-focused experiences include access to the Family by JW™ Little Griffins Kids’ Club, which offers more than 100 activities for younger guests.
The Family Fun Summer package also includes daily breakfast, three-course lunches and dinners for two adults and children under 12 at selected dining venues, as well as a floating breakfast experience served in-villa. Guests booking the package will additionally receive a USD 300 resort credit that can be used for dining, spa treatments and island experiences.
Through its Eid culinary programme, JW Marriott Maldives continues to position food and beverage experiences as a central element of family-oriented luxury travel, combining traditional flavours with interactive and destination-led dining concepts.
