The Standard, Maldives blends Maldivian and Middle Eastern flavours for Eid Al-Adha

The Standard, Maldives is set to mark Eid Al-Adha with a multi-day programme combining Maldivian cuisine, seafood-led dining concepts and wellness experiences designed around island traditions and cultural immersion.

Running from 27 to 28 May 2026, the resort’s festive programme places a strong focus on culinary storytelling through locally inspired menus, interactive dining experiences and wellness rituals that reflect both Maldivian and Middle Eastern influences.

The celebrations will begin at Kula with a Maldivian-inspired Eid Welcome Lunch featuring seafood dishes, coconut-based recipes and spice-infused preparations rooted in local culinary traditions. The lunch concept is designed to highlight communal dining and island flavours associated with Eid celebrations in the Maldives.

Throughout the festive period, guests will also have access to curated alcohol-free beverages across the resort’s dining outlets, reflecting the growing popularity of zero-alcohol beverage programmes within luxury hospitality and lifestyle dining concepts.

Later in the evening, Kula will host a Surf & Turf Dinner focused on seafood and grilled specialties, followed by cultural performances at Todis Bar, where traditional Boduberu music and dance will form part of the resort’s entertainment offering.

For culinary professionals, the programme demonstrates how resorts are increasingly integrating destination culture into food and beverage experiences, combining local ingredients, live entertainment and immersive guest engagement within a single dining journey.

On 28 May, the resort will continue its Eid programming with “Bodu Eid”, centred around traditional Maldivian experiences. A Fisherman’s Catch dining concept at Kula will showcase freshly prepared seafood inspired by the Maldives’ fishing heritage, while the evening will feature an Arabic-style seafood set dinner at Kula Beach.

The beachfront dining experience will combine Middle Eastern flavours with seafood-focused menus and a selection of hot and cold mezze, served in a setting designed around Arabic-inspired décor and coastal dining ambience. The dinner experience is priced at USD 95 per person and will run from 6:30 pm to 9:30 pm.

Beyond the culinary experiences, The Standard Spa will introduce a dedicated Eid wellness programme available from 24 to 31 May. The Spa Indulgence Eid Edition includes a steam session, Royal Hammam ritual and full-body massage using frankincense oil.

The resort will also offer wellness-led activities including healthy drink classes at the overwater Tonic Bar and traditional yoga sessions aimed at blending nutrition, mindfulness and lifestyle hospitality.

By combining culinary programming, wellness concepts and cultural entertainment, The Standard, Maldives continues to position experiential dining and immersive hospitality as key components of festive travel experiences in the Maldives.
