Niva Dhigali Maldives to host Giorgio Chiarello for week-long mixology showcase
Niva Dhigali Maldives is set to bring together cocktail craftsmanship, flair bartending and live entertainment this October with a week-long programme featuring Italian mixologist Giorgio Chiarello and international DJ and producer DJ Lara Fraser.
Scheduled from 25 to 31 October 2026, the programme will centre around the resort’s Haali Bar and East Bar, combining curated cocktail experiences with sunset music sessions and a Halloween celebration.
For culinary and beverage professionals in the Maldives, the highlight of the collaboration will be the return of Giorgio Chiarello, recognised as Italy’s most awarded flair bartender. Known internationally for his American-style mixology techniques and live flair performances, Chiarello will present a selection of signature cocktails designed specifically for the resort’s sunset setting.
Throughout the week, guests will be able to observe Chiarello’s bartending techniques and presentation style at Haali Bar, where cocktails will be paired with sunset DJ sessions by Lara Fraser. The activation reflects a growing trend among Maldives resorts to elevate beverage programmes through collaborations with internationally recognised bartenders and mixologists.
Haali Bar, positioned on the western side of the island, has become one of the resort’s signature venues, particularly for sunset experiences. During the event, Fraser’s open-format music sets blending dance, house and hip hop will accompany the cocktail showcases as the venue transitions from sunset lounge to evening entertainment space.
Fraser has previously performed at major international venues and events including the Monaco and Las Vegas Grand Prix, Wembley Arena, Royal Ascot, the Cannes Film Festival and Fashion Week events globally.
The week will conclude with a Halloween party at East Bar, bringing together live music, cocktails and themed entertainment as part of the resort’s seasonal programming.
The collaboration also highlights the increasing role of beverage artistry within luxury hospitality experiences in the Maldives, where resorts are continuing to expand curated mixology offerings alongside culinary programming to enhance guest engagement.
