Ritz-Carlton Maldives, Fari Islands marks fifth anniversary with month-long culinary and mixology showcase

The Ritz-Carlton Maldives, Fari Islands will mark its fifth anniversary this June with a month-long programme that places gastronomy, mixology and guest experience at the centre of the celebration, offering a line-up of interest to hospitality professionals, chefs and beverage teams across the Maldives.

The North Malé Atoll resort said the anniversary programme will reflect the property’s approach to luxury hospitality through a series of curated experiences spanning food and beverage, wellness and environmental engagement. For culinary professionals, the strongest focus falls on the resort’s track record in hosting internationally recognised chefs and bars, and on a June calendar that continues that direction.

Since opening in 2021, the resort has welcomed chefs representing more than 16 Michelin stars, while also hosting over 20 mixologists from venues recognised by The World’s 50 Best Bars and Asia’s 50 Best Bars. That record has helped position the property as one of the Maldives resorts continuing to invest in destination dining and beverage-led programming as part of the wider guest experience.

A key culinary highlight of the anniversary month will be the resort’s Behind the Bar series from 6 to 8 June. The programme will bring together three bar concepts from Marriott International properties ranked among Asia’s 50 Best Bars 2025: The St. Regis Bar, Jakarta; Punch Room Tokyo, The Tokyo EDITION Ginza; and Bar Sathorn, W Bangkok. The events are set to take place across several venues, including the Maldives outpost of Singapore’s Summer Pavilion, IWAU and EAU Bar, before concluding with a beach party and collaborative bar takeover at Beach Shack.

For chefs and F&B teams in the Maldives, the programme underlines the continued convergence of cuisine, beverage storytelling and destination-led dining. Rather than presenting food and drink as separate components, the anniversary line-up appears designed around immersive concepts, venue identity and cross-disciplinary collaboration — an approach that has become increasingly relevant across premium hospitality in the region.

While the June calendar also includes wellness programming under the resort’s Deep Blue philosophy and a series of conservation-led activities, the anniversary celebrations reinforce how resorts are using culinary and beverage programming not only to elevate guest engagement, but also to build a stronger identity in an increasingly competitive luxury market.

The fifth anniversary programme begins on 1 June, the resort’s official anniversary date, and runs throughout the month.
