SO/ Maldives unveils Eid al-Adha culinary and lifestyle programme
SO/ Maldives has announced a three-day Eid Al Adha programme scheduled from 26 to 28 May 2026, combining culinary experiences, live entertainment and wellness activities.
The resort’s “Eid, the Island Way” concept is designed to align with evolving guest preferences for experiential travel, with a focus on food, social interaction and curated activities.
Culinary offerings form a central component of the programme. At Hadaba, the resort’s signature restaurant, a four-course menu will be served, featuring dishes inspired by Middle Eastern cuisine, including shawarma-style preparations, lamb-based dishes and pistachio desserts. The menu is positioned as a reinterpretation of traditional flavours within a contemporary dining format.
Beyond formal dining, casual food and beverage experiences will be available at Lazuli Beach Club, where guests can access beverages including tropical milkshakes and Karak tea, alongside social elements such as live music and shisha. These venues are expected to serve as key gathering points during the daytime and early evening periods.
Evening programming will include live oud performances, DJ sessions and fire shows, reflecting a blend of Middle Eastern and contemporary entertainment formats. The Pavilion Bar will host sunset sessions with curated beverage selections.
The programme also integrates wellness and recreational components. Guests will have access to spa treatments, fitness sessions, snorkelling and diving excursions, alongside marine-based experiences. Family-oriented activities, including workshops and cultural sessions, will be organised to engage younger guests.
Located in Emboodhoo Lagoon, SO/ Maldives continues to position itself within the lifestyle resort segment, combining design-led hospitality with programming centred on food, entertainment and social experiences.
The Eid programme reflects a broader trend within the Maldives hospitality sector, where resorts are expanding themed event offerings to attract international travellers during key holiday periods.
