The Nautilus Maldives combines beachside feasts and intimate dining for festive season
The Nautilus Maldives has announced a festive programme combining chef’s tables, live cooking, seasonal desserts and dining across its beach and ocean settings, with Executive Chef Kengo Tomita leading the culinary offering.
Presented under the theme ‘Bohemian Odyssey’, the programme will span the Christmas and New Year celebrations at the resort in the Baa Atoll UNESCO Biosphere Reserve. Its culinary focus brings together Mediterranean, Japanese and Maldivian influences, alongside festive dining events and experiences shaped around guests’ preferences.
Tomita and his team will host intimate chef’s tables exploring the three culinary traditions. The encounters will range from Mediterranean flavours and Japanese cooking to the spices and culinary heritage of the Maldives, giving the programme a regional dimension alongside its international influences.
The chef’s tables form part of a wider approach that allows guests to engage with the resort’s food and beverage offering at their own pace. Seasonal truffle and caviar offerings, festive cocktails and a hidden elixir bar will add further elements to the dining programme.
Christmas Eve’s principal culinary event, The Luminous Eve Feast, will take place on Thyme Beach. The beachfront celebration will combine live cooking with festive favourites, desserts and music, bringing both savoury and pastry preparations into the evening’s offering.
The dessert selection will form part of the Christmas Eve feast alongside dishes prepared through live cooking. While the announcement does not identify individual dishes or pastry creations, it places desserts among the main elements of the celebration.
For New Year’s Eve, Epicurean Voyage: Bohemian Ball will move between Naiboli Deck and Thyme Beach, continuing towards a midnight welcome to 2027. The event extends the festive programme across two settings, bringing dining and celebration into the final evening of the year.
Food and beverage service will also feature beyond the resort’s shores. The Celestial Hour, an intimate evening cruise, will pair champagne with artisanal canapés, adding a smaller-format culinary experience to a programme that also includes beachfront feasts and chef’s tables.
“Bohemian Odyssey is an invitation to experience the festive season with freedom and curiosity,” said Philippe Cavory, General Manager of The Nautilus Maldives. “There is no single path to follow. Guests can simply be present, embrace what inspires them and allow each day to become entirely their own.”
The wider festive programme will include The Artisan Shore, bringing together island artistry, music and craftsmanship, as well as marine exploration and coral planting. Solasta Spa will offer personalised sleep rituals, meditation and sound-based experiences.
Younger guests will have a separate programme of creative workshops, dolphin voyages, handmade gifts and festive activities. Outdoor cinema and play are planned for Christmas Eve, followed by music and celebrations on the final day of 2026.
