Kabita’s Kitchen creator Kabita Singh to lead culinary residency at Sun Siyam Olhuveli
This October, the flavours of one of India’s most recognisable kitchens are heading to the Maldives as Sun Siyam Olhuveli Maldives, part of Sun Siyam’s Lifestyle Collection, welcomes award-winning food creator Kabita Singh, the personality behind Kabita’s Kitchen, for a special culinary residency celebrating International Chefs’ Day on 20 October 2026.
Known for turning everyday Indian cooking into content enjoyed by millions, Singh will swap her digital kitchen for an island setting, joining Sun Siyam Olhuveli’s culinary team for a live cooking experience created especially for resort guests.
The collaboration will bring together Singh’s signature approach to Indian cuisine, familiar flavours, accessible recipes and a growing focus on wholesome cooking, with Sun Siyam’s own signature Plant Based Bliss philosophy, which champions the nutritional and holistic benefits of plant-forward dining. As part of the International Chefs’ Day celebration, Singh will step into the kitchen alongside Sun Siyam Olhuveli’s culinary team for a live cooking session in front of resort guests, showcasing a specially curated selection of vegetarian, vegan and health-conscious dishes. Created in collaboration with the resort’s chefs and inspired by her own cooking philosophy, the experience will give guests the opportunity to watch Singh at work, discover the stories and techniques behind the dishes, and taste her take on plant-forward Indian cuisine on a Maldivian island setting.
With approximately 14.6 million subscribers on YouTube alone, Kabita’s Kitchen has grown from a home-cooking channel into one of India’s most widely followed food platforms. Singh has built her audience by making Indian cooking approachable, from regional favourites and vegetarian staples to festive dishes, street-food classics and everyday family recipes. Her influence on India’s food landscape was recognised at the inaugural National Creators Award in 2024, where she received the Best Creator in Food Category award, presented by Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
