Mark Lundgaard to join Gaushan de Silva for four-hands dinners at Velaa’s Aragu
Mark Lundgaard, head chef and director of Copenhagen’s two-Michelin-starred Kong Hans Kælder, will join Chef Gaushan de Silva for two four-hands dinners at Aragu, Velaa Private Island, this November.
Scheduled for 6–8 November 2026, Lundgaard’s visit forms part of the resort’s Gastronomy Month, bringing a focus on classical French techniques, Nordic influences and ingredient provenance to its culinary programme.

At Kong Hans Kælder, housed in one of Copenhagen’s oldest buildings, Lundgaard has developed an approach that draws on culinary heritage while incorporating modern precision. His cooking reinterprets classical French methods through a Nordic perspective, with an emphasis on provenance and craftsmanship. These principles provide the foundation for his contribution to the Aragu collaboration.
Lundgaard and de Silva will present a tailored menu for the two dinners, with creativity and precision among the themes highlighted by the resort. The collaboration will bring Lundgaard’s interpretation of French culinary traditions into a jointly presented dining experience at Aragu.
