Two-Michelin-starred Chef Yannick Noack to collaborate with Luke Borg at Taj Exotica Maldives
Taj Exotica Resort & Spa, Maldives has announced an upcoming culinary collaboration featuring German two-Michelin-starred Chef Yannick Noack and the resort’s Director of Culinary & Food and Beverage, Luke Borg.
The collaboration will bring together the culinary perspectives of the two chefs in an island setting, adding to the growing programme of international chef partnerships and gastronomic experiences taking place across resorts in the Maldives.
Noack will travel from Germany to Taj Exotica for the collaboration, where he will work alongside Borg to present a culinary experience combining their respective approaches to cooking.
While the resort has yet to disclose details of the menus, dates, dining venue or format of the collaboration, the programme is expected to provide an opportunity for the chefs to exchange ideas and translate their individual culinary philosophies into a shared dining experience.
The collaboration will also bring Michelin-starred expertise into direct interaction with Taj Exotica’s culinary operation, highlighting the role visiting chef programmes can play in introducing new techniques, perspectives and approaches to resort gastronomy.
For Taj Exotica, the partnership brings together international culinary talent with the resort’s own food and beverage leadership. Borg oversees the resort’s culinary and F&B operations, while Noack brings experience from Germany’s Michelin-recognised restaurant sector.
The initiative comes as Maldives resorts continue to expand their culinary programming through chef residencies, four-hands dinners and collaborations between visiting chefs and resident culinary teams. Such programmes provide opportunities not only to create limited-edition guest experiences but also for professional exchange between chefs working across different culinary cultures.
