Meyyafushi Maldives marks first anniversary with Michelin-starred chef dinner and wine tasting
Meyyafushi will mark its first anniversary from 1 to 3 November 2026 with a three-day programme featuring gala dining, a four-course dinner by Belgian Michelin-starred chef Wout Bru, sunset cocktails and a dedicated wine and charcuterie tasting.
The celebrations will begin on 1 November with a Sunrise Floating Sound Bath at the Sky Lounge, followed in the evening by a Golden Cocktail Hour, Gala Dinner and Glow in the Dark Grand Party.
For the resort’s culinary and beverage teams, one of the main highlights will come on 2 November, when Chef Wout Bru presents an exclusive four-course dinner.
The collaboration will give Meyyafushi’s resident kitchen brigade an opportunity to work alongside an internationally recognised visiting chef, from menu preparation and ingredient planning to plating and service.
Four-course dining also requires careful attention to progression, with chefs balancing flavour, texture, richness and portioning across the complete menu.
Earlier that day, guests will be invited to take part in a Coral Planting Journey as part of the resort’s marine conservation programme.
The final day will turn the focus towards wine with a Wine & Charcuterie Tasting Experience at Raa, Meyyafushi’s overwater wine cellar.
For sommeliers and F&B professionals, the tasting will centre on the relationship between wine and cured meats, where acidity, tannin, salt, fat and spice all influence pairing decisions.
The anniversary will conclude with a Cultural Show and Bonfire.
Across the three days, Meyyafushi’s food and beverage programme will move from large-scale gala dining to a chef-led four-course experience and a more intimate wine tasting, showcasing different aspects of the resort’s culinary operation.
As Meyyafushi celebrates its first year, gastronomy will remain one of the central elements of the milestone, bringing together visiting-chef collaboration, wine and celebratory dining.
