.Here Baa Atoll introduces private chef dining and 24-hour culinary service at Nowhere Island

.Here Baa Atoll has expanded its culinary offering with the opening of Nowhere Private Island, introducing on-demand private chef experiences, bespoke menus, personalised mixology and round-the-clock in-residence dining.

The opening completes the resort’s two-island concept in the Baa Atoll UNESCO Biosphere Reserve, following the launch of Somewhere in December 2025. Together, the islands feature nine residences, combining personalised hospitality with a culinary programme centred on flexibility and individual guest preferences.

For chefs and food and beverage professionals, the opening introduces a model of private island dining where menus, service times and dining locations can be tailored to individual guests rather than following conventional restaurant operations.

Bespoke culinary experiences at Nowhere

Nowhere Private Island features two residences, a five-bedroom Presidential Residence and a three-bedroom Lagoon Residence, which are reserved together for exclusive use by a single group of up to 24 guests.

Dining is designed around the preferences of those staying on the island, with an on-demand private chef creating personalised culinary experiences.

Guests can choose from private dinners beneath the stars, family gatherings on their terraces and specially curated menus served within their residences.

The culinary programme also includes 24-hour in-residence dining and personalised mixology, extending food and beverage service beyond traditional meal periods.

For culinary teams, this approach places particular emphasis on understanding guest preferences, dietary requirements and dining expectations. Menus can be developed around individual occasions, while preparation and service need to accommodate different schedules and dining settings.

The private chef concept also creates opportunities for direct interaction between chefs and guests, allowing culinary professionals to introduce ingredients, explain preparations and adapt dishes to individual tastes.

Global cuisine and Josper Grill cooking at SAFAR

Beyond private island dining, guests can explore SAFAR, .Here’s signature overwater restaurant, under the culinary direction of Executive Chef Georgios Vasilopoulos.

The restaurant presents a globally influenced menu built around fresh seafood, seasonal ingredients and fire-led preparations using a Josper Grill.

Combining grilling with an enclosed oven environment, Josper cooking allows chefs to work with high temperatures while developing the flavours associated with charcoal cooking.

The technique is particularly suited to preparations where heat management, texture and ingredient quality are central to the finished dish.

At SAFAR, seafood and seasonal produce form the foundation of a menu drawing inspiration from international cuisines, offering a different dining format from the personalised experiences available within Nowhere’s residences.

The restaurant is complemented by SAFAR Bar, where handcrafted cocktails draw on the themes of travel and discovery.

For the beverage team, the bar provides a dedicated setting for mixology alongside the more personalised cocktail experiences offered through private island service.

Culinary experiences across two islands

The opening of Nowhere completes .Here’s concept of two connected islands with different hospitality experiences.

Somewhere, which opened in December 2025, features seven beachfront and overwater residences and focuses on shared experiences and social interaction.

Nowhere, meanwhile, offers an entirely private setting, allowing guests to determine their own dining schedules and experiences.

Guests can move between the two islands, which are connected by a natural sandbank, while also enjoying complimentary access to the dining venues and other facilities of neighbouring Finolhu, a Seaside Collection Resort.

The arrangement expands the range of culinary experiences available to guests, from private chef dining and personalised cocktails to restaurant-based cuisine and the wider dining portfolio at Finolhu.

Personalisation at the centre of dining

Food and beverage forms part of .Here’s wider approach to personalised hospitality, supported by its Roohu butler service.

The service is designed to coordinate guest preferences and individual experiences, including private celebrations and dining arrangements.

For culinary professionals, such an approach requires close communication between butlers, chefs, bartenders and service teams to ensure that menus and dining experiences reflect individual requirements.

With the opening of Nowhere Private Island, .Here Baa Atoll brings together two different approaches to luxury resort gastronomy: private chef experiences designed around individual guests and restaurant dining led by Executive Chef Georgios Vasilopoulos.

From bespoke menus and 24-hour in-residence service to seafood and Josper Grill preparations at SAFAR, the culinary offering places personalisation, technique and flexible dining at the centre of the two-island hospitality concept.
