From underwater gastronomy with Chef Andrea Berton to beachfront lobster: You & Me Maldives reveals festive dining
You & Me Maldives has unveiled its festive culinary programme for Christmas and New Year 2026–2027, featuring underwater dining curated by Chef Andrea Berton, Champagne-paired dinners, beachfront lobster barbecues and private dining experiences.
Running from 22 December 2026 to 6 January 2027, the programme will bring together a series of gastronomic events at the adults-only resort, with a particular focus on romantic dining, premium wines and destination dining.
For chefs, sommeliers and food and beverage professionals, the programme will feature five-course menus, Krug and Ruinart Champagne pairings, seafood preparations and dining in settings ranging from the resort’s underwater restaurant to a private boat.
Chef Andrea Berton’s underwater dining experience
One of the principal culinary highlights will take place on 28 December at H2O, the resort’s underwater restaurant, located six metres below the ocean’s surface.
Titled Krug Beneath the Waves, the experience will feature a five-course dinner curated by Chef Andrea Berton, paired with Krug Champagne.
The event will combine a multi-course menu with Champagne service in an underwater setting, offering guests a dining experience surrounded by the marine environment.
For culinary and sommelier teams, the dinner will place emphasis on the relationship between food and Champagne, with the selection of dishes and wines forming the centre of the experience.
Champagne pairings and romantic dining
The festive programme will also feature several private dining experiences designed around different locations and menus.
Journey Through the Night will offer a five-course dinner aboard the Love Boat, bringing restaurant-style dining to a private vessel.
Another experience, Beneath the Canopy of Love, will feature a beachside dinner paired with Ruinart Brut Champagne.
The resort will also introduce Sand & Romance, a dining experience featuring a sunken table set into the beach, providing an alternative setting for private meals.
Seafood will feature in An Affair with Lobster, a beachfront lobster barbecue accompanied by Champagne.
Together, these experiences will showcase different approaches to destination dining, with the resort’s culinary and beverage teams delivering meals across beach, boat and underwater settings.
Christmas and New Year gala dining
The festive celebrations will begin on 22 December with a sunset cocktail party and Christmas tree lighting ceremony at Cheers Bar Beach.
On Christmas Eve, guests will be welcomed with a cocktail reception before a Christmas Gala Dinner on The Sand Beach, followed by a late-night celebration.
Christmas Day will feature a festive brunch and an Indian Chef Movement dinner, alongside other island activities.
On 31 December, the resort will host another cocktail reception at Cheers Bar Beach before a New Year’s Eve Gala Dinner on The Sand Beach.
The evening will continue with entertainment, music and fireworks to welcome 2027.
New Year’s Day will begin with the Love at First Light breakfast, followed by a New Year’s Brunch.
Culinary experiences beyond the restaurants
The festive programme will extend to destination experiences, including Love Drift, a castaway picnic lunch on a sandbank.
The resort will also offer sunset fishing and other ocean excursions, alongside entertainment, wellness activities and an Orthodox Christmas celebration on 6 January.
