Hotel Asia Exhibition & International Culinary Challenge 2026

Now in its 20th edition, the Hotel Asia Exhibition & International Culinary Challenge has firmly established itself as the Maldives’ most influential hospitality trade event—an essential meeting point for industry professionals, innovators, and visionaries from across the globe.

First launched in the year 2000 with just 42 stalls and 37 chefs, the exhibition has grown in both scale and stature. From its humble beginnings, it has blossomed into a world-class platform for hospitality brands to connect, collaborate, and showcase their offerings. After being held biennially in its early years, it transitioned to an annual event in 2008, consistently serving as a bellwether for industry trends and business development in the region.

The Culinary Challenge is one of the highly anticipated events at Hotel Asia. Chefs and Service personnel from both – the best of the Maldivian Resorts and from other participating nations vie for top honors at the competition.

The Culinary Challenge itself adds a unique and diverse facet to the event, harnessing the best of talent in the region in one common place. The Panel of Judges will comprise of internationally recognised culinary professionals.

The Awards and Certificates that are given in recognition of the skill and quality of the chefs are regarded as world class endorsements for the participants internationally.
